Frustrated

Its a couple of weeks since my last post, but nothing has changed.
Nothing at all.
The patients are still sitting on the ward, and next to no progress has been made.
And there is absolutely nothing I can do.
For patient's who have a delayed 'social', the social service department is supposed to be fined, but they always find a way out of it: they request an evaluation, or a meeting, or for their luck the patient falls ill.
I spoke to the social worker responsible for most of my 'social' patients. He just laughed, and made off-colour jokes, but left an hour later, without being able to say whether he had made any progress.
Grrr....I'm still fuming about my helplessness.
