The first thing I did when I walked on the ward this morning was to check up on the gentleman I'd mentioned in my previous post - the one with the bleed in his brain.
He's survived the weekend - which is encouraging. But no-one can predict what is going to happen in the come days and weeks. Which understandably, his family find quite frustrating, but unfortunately, that is what medicine is, and is what makes it challenging.
The rest of my day has gone off reasonably uneventfully and I managed to leave at 5.15pm - which is a first for me! Still the last doctor off the ward, but at least not the one there when the night doctor does his/her rounds.
