It is now three weeks since I sent in my job applications.
I know for sure that I have not been short-listed in the area I have studied or worked in for the last seven years. I'm gutted, to say the least. I like this area, have come to understand the inner workings of most of the bigger hospitals in the region and more importantly, can make sense of the local dialect....but evidently this as well as my application have failed to appeal to the discerning short-lister. Bastard.
I have also failed to be short-listed for another deanery close to my current one.
Now I suppose its a matter of keeping my fingers crossed - hopefully someone will decide to go to aussie-land or give up medicine or get a job in another field or just get a job elsewhere and leave a post for me.
If not....who knows...any ideas?
